Winter breaks to Cornwall

One of the most popular destinations for a holiday in the UK is Cornwall and the reason for this popularity is that the climate is often a few degrees warmer than counties further north so if you are thinking of taking a winter break this year a visit to Cornwall could be a good idea. An out of season holiday may be as enjoyable if not more so as there will be less tourists about and the accommodation is generally cheaper. Parking, which can be a major headache in the summer months is usually plentiful out of season and often much cheaper if not free.

A walk on the gorgeous sandy beaches of Cornwall can be enjoyed whatever the season and the impressive waves during winter are incredible.

Christmas is an especially lovely time to stay in Cornwall as the numerous cosy inns and hotels are beautifully decorated for the festive season and nothing can be better than coming in from a brisk walk along the beach to a warm glass of mulled wine or a steaming hot chocolate with a warm mince pie thrown in for good measure.

If you prefer to have your own bolthole when on holiday there are many cosy cottages available to rent some with log burners providing you with the perfect opportunity to cosy up and enjoy your winter break.
