Eastern Algarve

If you love being surrounded by nature, then you will find the sister courses of Quinta de Sima and Quinta da Ria particularly attractive. These two are just beside Ria Formosa Natural park which is a haven for wildlife and will be a natural choice for nature lovers. A farm building converted into a restaurant and club house overlooks the beautiful greenery surrounding the area. Other noteworthy courses in this region are the Quinta de Vale and the Benamor in Castro Marim and Tavira respectively.

Novice players will find the 9 holes of Colina Verde particularly intriguing especially on the fifth hole.

Central Algarve

This region contains the highest number of courses. The Oceanico Victoria in Vilamoura hosts the masters and is surrounded by wetlands, lakes and nice large green area for putting. A handicap certificate is required for one to play here, making it an exclusive area for seasoned golfers. For keen golfers, there are some really good choices such as the Oceanico Faldo and Penina championship. For families, Vale do Milho is the best bet; it has 9 holes and a 70 meter 3rd hole.
