Holidays are great for getting away from day to day life and having a chance to catch up with your loved ones. If you have children then you will know that although it can be fun it is sometimes exhausting to plan. You need to consider things in greater detail than if you were going just as a couple such as planning in refreshment / toilet stops, checking that the campsite or hotel is child friendly and has plenty for them to do and organising some sort of activity to keep them entertained on the journey.
Some families choose to holiday with other friends or family members to make the whole experience more enjoyable for all. Hiring a lodge or house for a week between two families can be a fantastic experience and can bring the cost down for everyone. The children can then play together and trips out are normally easy to manage with more adults around. In the evenings once the children are in bed the adults can unwind with a glass of wine and some much need adult conversation. This sounds like a win-win situation for all, so if you haven’t already tried it maybe give it a go for your next trip away.
